Policing in New Liskeard

 

New Liskeard has had local, municipal policing since 1963.  

Both police service surveys and feedback from area residents point to the high quality and level of service provided to the community.  

With dedicated 24 hour a day coverage, the police respond promptly to calls for assistance, are highly successful in solving cases and maintain an active, friendly and visible presence in community neighbourhoods.

The Temiskaming Shores Police Service has a complement of six constables, two sergeants, one staff sergeant and a chief.   The dispatch centre has a complement of five full-time and two part-time staff, who also serve as special constables. Administrative support is provided to the force by one full-time and one part-time clerical staff.

The Temiskaming Shores Police Service reports to and receives direction from the community through the Temiskaming Shores Police Services Board.
